West Texas Centers is searching for highly motivated individuals to perform on-going Peer
Specialist services to provide services to justice involved persons. To provide rehabilitative
services to aid in reducing the symptoms of mental illness and increase the ability to function
within the community. Position Incentives include, flexible schedules, and rewarding work

Salary:$13.34
Job Functions include assisting individuals in gaining needed services:
access to medical, social, vocational, educational
service monitoring
advocacy
crisis resolution
engaging clients in activities designed to reduce the symptoms of mental illness and to
increase the ability of the individual to function in the community.
Requires flexible hours, involves extensive paperwork, and will require self-directed
performance. Travel and the use of a personal vehicle is required.
Position Requirements:
Required: High School Diploma/GED
Require lived experience with mental illness, and prefer experience with the criminal
justice system.
Must have and maintain a Valid Drivers License and driving record that is acceptable for
insurability through our insurance carrier.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
