About West Texas Centers

West Texas Centers serves as the local Authority for Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities for 23 counties in rural West Texas.  In addition to providing services for people living with mental illness and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities the center efficiently operates the long-running and successful Early Childhood Intervention program, more commonly known as Little Lives ECI. Our vision at West Texas Centers is to "create a superior system of care to meet individual needs through the provision of quality services shaped by partnerships and built upon integrity, mutual respect and compassion for those served."

West Texas Centers mission places strong belief that with proper support and available services throughout our 23-county foothold, people with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities will recover and lead their best and most productive lives in the community. Through administrative and boots on the ground programming and support services, we are here to lead you, guide you and inform you on best practices to live your best possible lives.
