West Texas Centers is searching for highly motivated individuals for Mental Health First Aid Coordinator (MHFAC). This position is responsible for promoting, coordinating, and conducting MHFA training of individuals in the West Texas Centers service area. The MHFAC is responsible for successful completion of both the Adult and Youth MHFA trainer courses and maintaining MHFA certifications. Job Functions include:
· Develop the annual service plan for promoting Mental Health First Aid training to individuals in the communities served by West Texas Centers.
· Conduct community outreach to plan and provide MHFA training.
· Interface with regional Education Service Centers on MHFA training.
· Interface with local schools and school districts to promote MHFA training.
· Evaluate effectiveness and develop improvement plans for each MHFA training.
· Develop an annual budget and monitor expenses related to providing MHFA trainings.
· Participates in the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) time study program. RMTS as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavior, or human service field. Academic certification may be substituted for successful work experience.
Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License and driving record that is acceptable for insurability through our insurance carrier.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Applicants must reside within 70-mile radius of duty site.
