Provider Services Manager

Under limited supervision will coordinate the delivery of Provider Services to consumers within a designated service area.  Is responsible for the hiring, training, ongoing supervision, and scheduling of the provider staff.  Services include Employment Assistance, Individualized Competitive Employment/Supported Employment, Community Supports/ Supported Home Living, Respite, and Residential Services.  Will participate in Service Planning/IDT meetings, develop implementation plans, and monitor service delivery and utilization.  Responsible to ensure that services are delivered in compliance with the applicable funding requirements (General Revenue, HCS, TxHL) May be required to work flexible hours and work direct care as needed.  May be required to use personal vehicle to perform job duties.  Will report to IDD Area Supervisor. Salary:$16.25

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND PURPOSES:

  • Directs and supervises Provider Services staff training and job performance.
    • Conduct and monitor training in accordance with prescribed guidelines and community standards.
    • Continue education on new training and topics as it is made available.
    • Staff is knowledgeable of proper consumer training techniques.
    • Staff is aware of job performance through positive performance procedures. 
  • Behavior intervention, (conducting behavior therapy programs, intervening to prevent injury to individual or employees)
    • Provide intervention quickly and appropriately by utilizing appropriate techniques, including communication and protection. 
    • Carry out behavior therapy programs are as written.
  • Participate in service planning activities and SPT meetings.
    • Will attend annual planning meetings for consumers receiving services.
    • Will direct and/or perform assessment and discovery activities related to the development of Implementation Plans
    • Will develop and submit Implementation Plans in compliance with Center policies and procedures.
    • Will ensure that Out of Home Respite Plans are developed prior to service delivery. 
  • Perform financial responsibilities for consumers who have chosen WTC as their payee.
    • Complies with Center policies and procedures pertaining to management of consumer personal funds.
    • Monitor consumer checkbook ledgers and petty cash weekly and verify that transactions are accurate.
    • Send Quarterly Financial Statements to Consumer's/LAR's. 
  • Participate in the On-Call rotation.
    • Will serve as Provider Services on-call, as scheduled.
    • Will address on-call matters pertaining to scheduling and service delivery.
    • Will contact the Area Supervisor and Director of IDD for non-routine, more serious issues.
  • Community partners and agency liaison 
    • Encouraging and educating local agencies and others in the community to gain support of the program.
    • Communicate information from local board with the Director of IDD.
  • Documentation
    • Documentation will be legible, accurate, and completed within required time frames.
  • Training - following training programs, teaching everyday living skills, vocational skills, etc.
    • Follow individual PDPs as written.
    • Assigned training occurs as planned / scheduled. 
    • Provide appropriate leisure activities as scheduled / desired.
  • Infection control.
    • Follow universal precautions when cleaning spills on floor/carpet, disposing of soiled linens, etc.
  • Physical assistance.
    • Provide physical assistance as needed (lifting, repositioning, transferring, etc.).
  • Ensures Transport / Escorting individuals to and from activities occur as needed.
    • Transportation will be provided in compliance with Center policy.
    • Consumers will arrive on time to scheduled events.
    • Informs supervisor of any change of status of driver's license and furnishes copy of new or renewed license to supervisor upon receipt.
    • Report ALL traffic citations to supervisors immediately.
  • Attends required Training and Mandatory meetings.
    • Participation is required for all WTC training and mandatory meetings
    • Obtain supervisor approval prior to missing training/meetings.
  • Maintenance of all area facilities, residences, and vehicles.
    • Attends to minor routine maintenance of residence.
    • Submits maintenance requests as soon as problems occur and follow up to assure completion. Informa Area Supervisor if task not completed within 5 days.
    • Ensure vehicles are clean and maintenance regularly.
    • Report problems with vehicles to appropriate personnel.
  • Confidentiality.
    • Follows HHSC and WTC Agency policy and procedures regarding client confidentiality.
    • Will not entertain personal guests/visitors at the work site at any time or duration.
  • Medication monitoring.
    • Medications will be monitored without error. 
    • Assist individuals with ordering medications as needed.
    • Medications are to be counted properly and documented.
    • Report medication errors/refusals are to nurse immediately.
    • Must maintain certification to perform duties delegated by an RN.
  • Emergency Procedures.
    • Administer CPR and First Aid properly when needed.
  • Assures Provider Services staff performs job duties as specified in their job description.
    • Assure staff has received adequate training to perform essential tasks.
    • Develop systems to ensure that essential tasks are completed as specified in position description.
    • Utilize Performance Enhancement Program.
  • Prepare staff schedules
    • Staff is scheduled to ensure compliance with required ratios.
    • Ensure staff is scheduled to participate in Service Planning meetings.
    • Ensure staff is scheduled for doctor's appointments and other scheduled activities.
    • Ensure effective use of resources to avoid accumulation of compensatory time.
    • Schedules will be completed and distributed 7 days prior to first day of month.

Staff will establish and maintain effective work relationships with individuals served and their families, supervisors, co-workers, and visitors by demonstrating cooperative, courteous, and respectful behavior. Staff will adhere to rules outlined in Confidentiality Statement signed by employee and follow Information Services policy/ procedure guidelines related to security and accountability as a user of WTC network and software application technology. 

All team members will promote and ensures safety guidelines are followed for the work environment by maintaining clean, neat, organized and safe work areas. This includes but is not limited to the following: 

  • Safety concerns are reported to supervisor immediately upon discovery and/or corrected. 
  • Identifies and reports any unsafe factors in the environment. 
  • Reports and/or corrects safety hazards in the work area. 
  • Utilizes universal precautions when handling all blood and body fluids. 
  • Adheres to all standards, policies and procedures of infection control. 
  • Universal precautions are utilized in accordance to WTC policy and procedures. 

Team Members must have and maintain a driving record that is acceptable for insurability through the Center's insurance carrier.  Staff must maintain a safe, inspected and road-worthy vehicle and have a valid Texas Driver's License. Staff must notify supervisor immediately of any driving violations or citations received from law enforcement with no evidence of failure to report. Must meet the criteria that indicate a commitment to safe and responsible driving as defined by the Texas Risk Management Fund.
