699 Medical Services Coordinator

West Texas Centers (WTC) is seeking a highly motivated Medical Services Coordinator for Mental Health Services to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who is passionate about behavioral health and leadership. The Medical Services Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality medical and nursing services for individuals receiving mental health care.

This position works closely with the Clinical Director and Director of Behavioral Health to develop policies, oversee nursing staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Salary: $ 65,000

The Medical Services Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and scheduling mental health nursing staff, as well as developing and implementing operational procedures to protect the health and safety of the persons served and staff. This role provides clinical leadership and oversight for nursing services across WTC mental health clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all WTC mental health nursing personnel.

Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff.

Ensure all nursing staff maintain current licensure and required training.

Develop and implement standardized medical procedures for mental health clinics.

Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Ensure nursing staff develop individualized treatment plans and nursing plans of care.

Monitor and review clinical documentation for accuracy and coordination with treatment teams.

Provide clinical leadership and consultation on high-risk cases.

Participate in treatment team meetings, including high-risk and ACT service meetings.

Manage contracts for medical waste, lab services, and medical supplies.

Coordinate budgets and financial monitoring for medical services.

Serve as primary liaison with pharmacy services.

Participate in committees including Medication Oversight, UM, QM, and other assigned committees.

Promote recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, evidence-based care practices.

Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director, Director of Behavioral Health, psychiatrists, and nursing staff.

Complete assignments accurately and within required timelines.

Position Requirements:

Required: LVN license

Must have and maintain a Valid Drivers License and driving record that is acceptable for insurability through our insurance carrier.

Must pass background check and drug screening.
